Our drive to London, Ontario, went smoothly. We stopped for lunch at Red Lobster, which was just ok.

When we arrived at my mom’s friend Tricia’s place, we were welcomed with a delicious BBQ dinner, including some super fresh corn.
Tricia and Sarah were at the University of Guelph together in the 90’s and have kept their friendship alive ever since. We met Trish’s kids, her partner Dave, and Dave’s daughter as well.

We spent our first full day in Canada at Costco, amazed by its sheer size. My siblings and I especially loved all the free samples!

My Dad even signed up as a Costco member so that we could book our next car in the US through Costco travel services. We were able to book a bigger car for less money, so this tip from Erik and Jill from the Lake house served us well.

In the evening, we took a drive around the area and caught a beautiful sunset and had another BBQ dinner with even more corn!

Oh, and Isa got peed on by Evan’s guinea pig. haha

Our last moments in London, Ontario, were spent packing before heading off to Toronto.
Again, we are so thankful to Trish, Dave and the teens for their hospitality and making us feel so at home.

My mother and Trish had time to catch up and we got to know her family a bit better. I must say that these two ladies have a deep connection. Hopefully, we can all meet up again soon.
