Kira, a dear friend of my mum’s from Switzerland, generously let us stay in her incredible flat. A huge thank you, Kira!

The weather was finally perfect, so we made our way to Miami Beach for a swim.

In the afternoon, I parted ways with my family and headed to Palm Beach Gardens to meet my bestie, Evija. As luck would have it, she was visiting her sister in Florida at the same time! Such a happy coincidence, and the first time on this trip that my plans diverged from my family’s.

While I was with Evija, Xan got to meet up with her friend Alec and his family from Switzerland, who were also in Miami for the October break. It seems like everyone was crossing paths in Florida!
