Upon arriving at my mom’s sister-friend Naomi’s place, I got to meet her two cute cats, Paco and Belle, though Sam and Dad weren’t too happy since they’re allergic!

We spent our first full day in Toronto at the St. Lawrence Market along with Jenny(aka second wife) and Julian(our friend from Switzerland) , where we enjoyed the best bagels we had ever had—we even went back for seconds!

Once satisfied we walked around the city a bit,
and got to see the Berczy Park Dog Fountain!

Afterwards we went up 50 floors and got to view the city from above, which was an impressive site to see.

Thanks Julian for showing us your office! We even saw the other side of Lake Ontario, ie New York State, from that height.

On Sunday, we visited the University of Guelph, where my mom studied.
We met some of her old university friends and their families.

We spent the day walking around the campus, seeing their old hangout spots, and ended up on a football field to play a game of football (aka soccer for the Land of the Grill & Land of the Chill people).

Overall we had a very nice day in Guelph!
Oh and in the evening Sam and I saw like 4 raccoons hanging out haha

September 9th
We went to watch the Blue Jays!

We got to “enjoy” a big, dry, plastic-like hot dog and some buttered popcorn (which on the other hand was srumdillydicious).

As you can see on the first picture, my mom did not particularly enjoy the hot dogs xD
The cover of the Rogers stadium was closed when we first got there, but about an hour into the game, the cover opened. What an engineering marvel!

Thanks for the tip Dave!
Some other nice views from the day:

After picking up Lev from school (Naomi’s son), we visited the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum).

It was interesting and the kiddos had a great time, but I’m glad my parents paid for the tickets as it’s quite pricey for what it is in my opinion.

Museum team 🎉
After the museum we walked around,

explored Chinatown,

checked out different stores, and grabbed a tasty bubble tea

Take a look at Lev’s awesome fruit pictures, he has a really good eye.
As we were waiting for Naomi, my mom’s close friend Jenny, and Julian along with his girlfriend Anna to join us for dinner at Mother’s Dumplings.
We ate so many delicious dumplings—it was so great I forgot to take pictures haha
All I have is this dumpling tower

September 11th

For lunch, we tried Chipotle for the first time, and it was really good, though my dad wasn’t entirely convinced.
Later, Sam and I got our nails done and had a nice time walking around the city together.

September 12th
Thursday was a relaxing day since we had big plans for Friday. We started the day leisurely with a delicious latke lunch

And later, while the ladies enjoyed a night to themselves, my dad took the kiddos and I out for a sushi dinner.

September 13th
We were up bright and early for a fun day trip—we were going to Niagara Falls! 😱
For lunch, we stopped at Applebee’s, which wasn’t the best choice, but it made us appreciate the Falls even more.

We did the boat tour and, as expected, got completely soaked—but it was totally worth it!

Some more bits from The Niagra Falls:

After the boat ride, we hung around Niagara-on-the-Lake to avoid traffic back to Toronto, and I got to prove I could still climb a tree!

Big thanks to Naomi for the fun and comfortable communal living in Toronto, looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Bonus pictures… but this time its only pictures Lev took!
