NyamoFam Travel Diaries: Family, Friends, Food, and Wonderful Places

Bangkok, Thailand

February 24-28th

We absolutely loved our time in Bangkok, even though it felt short-lived.

We got to enjoy so much good food every day, especially at this sweet lady’s stall not far from where we were staying next to the 7-Eleven on Soi Wanit 2.

and at the Cabbages & Condoms restaurant! Not only was the food delicious, the decorations were out of this world as well. This restaurant funds important family planning and sexual health projects in Thailand.

We also loved the longan tea and mango sticky rice from the ladies just around the corner on the Duang Tawan alley —they saw us every day, haha.

The night market in Chinatown was also a favourite.

We definitely never went hungry!

Although we didn’t do much sightseeing in the city, we still visited the Jim Thompson House.

and the The Temple of the Emerald Buddha ind the Grand Palace grounds,

both of which were beautiful architectural and historical spots.

Also one day, Sam and I took a Thai cooking class at the “Blue Elephant“. We visited the local market and learned so many new recipes and techniques.

Extra bits of this awesome city:

Before we knew it, our time in Bangkok was over, and we were off to the airport once again.
